Raw materials come from high quality steel made in New Zealand.
We use a New Zealand company to pre-cut the steel for us.
We use locally manufactured roll-former machines to produce the frames.
Rolls of steel are fed into a machine called a roll-former. The roll-former presses and cuts the steel into pre-determined lengths.
Workers assemble the lengths of steel into frames. This is a fast process.
Light-gauge steel has advantages over wood. It has superior weight-to-strength ratios. It does not absorb water. It’s light. It’s accurate. And it’s 100% recyclable.
Pre-assembled steel frames are used in all our houses.
Mainframe Systems has been established primarily to build multiple homes at the same time using our proprietary modular construction system.
We are willing to build individual one-off homes provided they fit modular construction methods. We have modular designs available for a range of settings and welcome discussion on how we might meet your housing needs.
