As with many good stories – ours begins with a group of friends socialising.
Somehow the cost of houses came up in discussion. Then it moved to the challenges people generally face when they want a new home. Then discussion migrated to the serious questions.
From there, the idea of a company was conceived – a company to rapidly produce good value, quality, modular homes for our communities. And so from that thinking Mainframe Systems was born on 11 December 2020.
Since then Mainframe Systems has set up a new modular housing system. We have our own research facility. And we have partnered with businesses to manufacture modular homes and components for us around the country.
At the core of Mainframe Systems is a focus on exploring and developing a fresh way of thinking for home building. The use of new and innovative materials and processes are key elements of our system which is designed to deliver good value housing for our communities. Tailored for speed and scalability, the system is capable of providing solutions for New Zealand's urgent housing crisis.
In addition to building homes, Mainframe Systems continues to explore innovative and environmental solutions targeted at building the capacity of communities.
This is our story.
Mainframe Systems has been established primarily to build multiple homes at the same time using our proprietary modular construction system.
We are willing to build individual one-off homes provided they fit modular construction methods. We have modular designs available for a range of settings and welcome discussion on how we might meet your housing needs.
